A Little History
Chesney and I met at Simpson College, a small Christian college in Redding, CA,
where I used the famous Malabuyo charm to capture Chesney's affections through some friends. After seeing the famous "Come With Us"
video, a collection of the fun and crazy things that my friends and I did in the Philippines, Chesney and 2 other friends made up their minds to,
well..."Come with me" on my next visit that summer.
Since Chesney was coming with me to the Philippines that summer, we decided to make things more interesting by getting engaged--but just as a joke for Tim's parents. Ironically, we actually ended up dating just before that visit!
Chesney was accepted into the Deaf Studies program at California State University at Northridge a year later, and as a freak coincidence, I found out the Art program there was great and applied I followed her there.
We got engaged in April of 2001, graduated in December of 2001, and married on a beautiful, warm, sunny day in Ben Lomond, CA, in May 2002.
On February 20th, our lives were changed forever with the arrival of our first kid, Caleb. Four years later, Tyler shook things up with his coming on the scene, and we haven't had a good night's sleep since.
Right now we are in Scotts Valley, loving watching our two boys grow up, and it's all captured here in photos and video!
