Mammoth Lakes Boys Weekend

I joined Lem, Oliver, Daniel, Joe, and Luke for a weekend with just the guys in Mammoth Lakes.

All the snow from the week before made for a grueling 12-hour drive for Lem and I, but we made it there by Saturday morning, just in time for breakfast and a day of hanging out. Then we drove back the following day.

As you can see from the pictures, we had fun in the snow and at the hot springs, and at the cabin, sipping our chai and surfing the internet. Thanks for the great weekend--let's do it again, sometime.

Since we're all photo freaks, there were few pictures taken. I put together some of my favorites, including ones that Daniel, Lem, and Luke took. Daniel did the same on his website.

The net morning, everyone is pretty tired from the drive the day before, but the breakfast livened things up.

We thought it would be good to warm up a little and get Luke hydrated, so we went to a local coffee shop in town.
Even in a little coffee shop, there was a lot of picture-taking going on.

After being rejuvinated with coffee, we drove to some hot springs.
We had intended to go swimming, but there were signs up that said it was closed due to geyser activity.
Lem is super-excited about the hot springs! So happy!

Thank goodness somebody close by had an open network for us to abuse.
Sure there were plenty of beds, but everyone huddled around the fireplace.

We love each other so much that we got matching jackets.
Lem and I decided not to drive north through the snow on the way back and drove south, all the way down to Bakersfield! It turned out to be shorter drive-time in the end.

Daniel: The wifi was much more reliable than last time I was there. Not sure if we would have survived otherwise.
